Bloodstone, also called Heliotrope is a variety of jasper or chalcedony. The classic bloodstone is green jasper with red inclusions of hematite. The inclusions resemble spots of blood, hence the name “Bloodstone”. Believed to improve the sense of creativity, decision making and intuition. Said to help purify the blood and clear toxins.
