Mosasaur Tooth In Rock Fossil

Description

This is a single Mosasaur tooth of the Matrix Liodon anceps species, from the Cretaceous period. It is approx 100 myo from Khouribga, Morocco. It is still partially embedded in the rock, with just the end of the tooth coming off the rock. Mosasaurs dominated the Cretaceous seas, large ones extending up to 15m. The rock measures approximately 10.5x9x3cm and the tooth measures 5cm long.

Suitable for ages 8 years+ and those with an interest in geology and fossils.
